Colibra Island

 

 

Colibra Island is located in Dasol Pangasinan. This is one of pride of Dasol and I would like to check out and visit this Island. Dasol is a small town but so many things to do and so many places to visit. And one of this is Colibra Islands located in Tambobong. Tambobong is also known as a mini Boracay because of its white sand beach. It is one of barangay of Dasol. Colibra Island is a great place for vacation.

And how to get to Colibra Islands? Well, from Tambobong beach, you may rent a boat to do the island hopping which will bring you to 3 islands – Colibra Island, Cabucungan Cove, and Crocodile Island. And if you will saw this 3 Islands you were all contended that you decided to just stay here instead.Cabucungan is a small cove dotted by rugged rock formations with a beach lined by rust – colored rocks. At low tide, several tidal pools are formed along the beach, trapping marine animals and making the area good for snorkeling.

While the Crocodile Island, named this a crocodile island beacause of its resemblance to a crocodile head. This island is a long rock formation.

A part resembling the body of Crocodile Island has a cave inside, covered with limestone. A pool which forms a lagoon has the cleanest water as warm as a hot shower.

Boat rental fee ranges from Php 1 200 to Php 1 300 – this already include entire islands hopping, a guide and life vests.  The boat ride would be approximately 30 to 40 minutes. It’s better to have a ride around 6 o’clock to 7 o’clock in the morning for the smoother boat ride because the wave is not already strong. Colibra Islands can be explored in less than 30 minutes. It is a combination of rocky and sand parts.

Every day seems to be a holiday on the Islands – all you need to do is relax and enjoy our self. Decide whether to go surfing or perhaps snorkeling and looking at corals.

Go for a short walk to the western end part of the islands you will see the best part of the island and the shore covered a seagrass. Like water crystals clean and warm. It is also best spot for swimming.
